As Naming Rights Sponsor of the Rockhampton Rockets QLS2 team for 2026, The Capricornian Bank are proud to continue our partnership with Rockhampton Basketball and Rockhampton Rockets.

Supporting Grassroots Footy: Springsure Junior Football
The Capricornian Bank were proud to see the Springsure Junior Football under 8’s team take to the field in their sponsored jerseys on Saturday 23rd May.
Our Central Highlands team got to see firsthand everything that makes community sport so important; from the families lining the sidelines cheering their teams on, the volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes, and the local sponsors coming together to support the next generation of footy stars.
The strong backing displayed on the club’s sponsor’s board highlighted the collective commitment of local businesses to ensuring community sport continues to thrive.

7 Rocky River Run
The Capricornian Bank in conjunction with Westfund, were once again proud to sponsor the 10km race of the Rocky River Run on Sunday 17 May 2026.
Moolah was out and about throughout the morning, cheering on the runners and giving out high 5’s.
The morning would not have been complete without the inclusion of our DJ Beards and Banter, playing some motivational beats at the beginning of the race, and the Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra playing some uplifting songs on their instruments as the participants had the finish line in their sights!
Congratulations to each and every competitor on the day, you all did an amazing job.
Supporting Local Style at the Springsure Cup
The Capricornian was proud to support the Springsure Cup Races on 30 August 2025, celebrating one of Central Queensland’s favourite community events.
As part of Fashions in the Field, we sponsored the Best Millinery category, recognising creativity, elegance, and local flair. Congratulations to this year’s winner, who received a $150 cheque proudly presented by The Capricornian!
Events like the Springsure Cup bring our communities together, and we’re delighted to play a small part in the fun, fashion, and country spirit that make days like these so special.
Supporting the Arts: Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra
As a Platinum Sponsor of the Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra, The Capricornian was proud to be recognised at their recent Celtic Vibes performance at the Pilbeam Theatre in June.
During the event, our CEO had the honour of addressing the audience and announcing The Capricornian’s continuing sponsorship commitment for FY 2025–28.

Celebrating Community at the Capella & District Show
We were proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the Capella & District Show Society, supporting the 64th annual Capella Show, held on Friday 23 May 2025.
Representing The Capricornian on the day were members of our Central Highlands team, Jo and Naiya, who joined locals and visitors alike in celebrating everything that makes the Capella community so special. From agricultural exhibits to family-friendly entertainment, the show was a fantastic showcase of local talent, tradition and community spirit.
