The Capricornian’s Marketing and Community Engagement Manager, Ashlee Cagney, was thrilled to announce the signing of a three year partnership with The Fitzroy Frogs following another successful Triathlon, held in March 2022.
As Major Sponsor of the event for the second year in a row, the aptly named ‘The Capricornian Rocky Tri’ is a Women’s and Under 15’s all abilities endurance multisport race, consisting of swimming, cycling, and running.
“We have simply fallen in love with this community event,” explained Ms Cagney.
“The Fitzroy Frogs are extremely passionate about providing opportunities for individuals and families to get active in a supportive environment where everyone is welcome, no matter their abilities or ambitions.
We are proud to be on board as a major event sponsor”, she said.
The Fitzroy Frogs will be holding The Capricornian Rocky Tri again next year, encouraging women, juniors and all-ability superstars to take part.
Michelle Williamson, event co-ordinator from The Fitzroy Frogs, said the event is about empowering participants in a supportive & all-inclusive environment.
“We receive amazing feedback about how much fun everyone has, how well the event is run and how great they feel having the support,” she said.
The objective for The Fitzroy Frogs, is to see the event numbers grow each year, something that will hopefully be achieved with the ongoing support from The Capricornian.
“We love the enthusiasm from the team at The Capricornian,” said Ms Williamson.
“It has been great to have a couple of staff compete and the volunteers really get into the spirit on the day,” she said.
