Daily Transfer Limits

External Transfers:

The external transfer limit is $3,000 per day per account. If you would like to alter your transfer limit temporarily for each of your ‘S type’ accounts, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

Internal transfers:

The internal transfer limit is $5,000 per day per account. If you would like to alter your transfer limit temporarily for each of your ‘S type’ accounts, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

Pay Anyone Mobile Banking transfers:

The Pay Anyone Mobile Banking transfer limit is $400 per day per account.

BPAY® Transfers:

There are no transaction limits set on BPAY® transactions at The Capricornian.

International Transfers:

The international transfer limit is $3,000 per day per account. If you would like to alter your international transfer limit temporarily for each of your ‘S type’ accounts, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

Using Security Tokens for Online Banking

SMS One Time Password:

SMS One Time Passwords are single use security tokens sent to your mobile phone. SMS One Time Passwords are required when altering contact details and existing Payee or BPAY® details or loading a New Payee transaction or BPAY® transaction. SMS One Time Password is activated when you register for Online Banking.

How do I register for online banking?
To register for online banking visit one of our Branches or apply online.

What do I do if I forget my password or login?
To reset your login information please call our Capricornian Contact Centre team on 1300 314 900 during business hours or visit one of our Branches.

Paying Bills

BPAY® is a national electronic bill payment service. If your bill displays the BPAY® logo, you can use BPAY®.

How long does it take for the money to reach the BPAY® Biller?
The BPAY® Biller will generally receive the funds within 24 to 48 business hours.

Can I schedule BPAY® payments to process at a future date or recur?
Yes. Payments can be scheduled to process at a future date. You can create a once off BPAY® payment or recurring BPAY® payments daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

How long does it take for money to reach my account?
Transfers between your Capricornian accounts are instant.

Can I schedule transfers to process at a future date?

How long does it take for money to reach another Capricornian Accounts?
Transfers to other Capricornian account holders are instant.

To external accounts (Accounts at other Financial Institutions):

What is required to transfer money to accounts at another financial institution?
You will require the BSB Number, Account Number and Account Name. You may choose to save these account details for future use in your Online Banking ‘My Payees’ address book.

How long does it take for the money to reach the account?
Funds should be received within 24-48 hours. If the funds are not received in this time please visit a branch or call our Capricornian Contact Centre team on 1300 314 900.

MOBILE BANKING

How to access Mobile Banking

Already registered for The Capricornian’s online banking? Then you are ready to use Mobile Banking. All you need to do is:

  1. Go to www.capricornian.com.au on your mobile device’s web browser and click on the following link Mobile Banking.
  2. Save the link to your bookmarks or home page. This will make it easier for you to access Mobile Banking again.
  3. Enter your username and password. These are exactly the same as you use for Capricornian’s Online Banking.

What is Mobile Banking?

  • Mobile banking is a version of The Capricornian’s online banking optimised for mobile devices that allows you to do your banking safely and conveniently with your web-enabled mobile device.
  • You are able to view your account balances and transactions, pay your bills using BPAY®, and transfer funds internally and externally.
  • Like online banking, there are no fees associated with mobile banking. Please contact your service provider for costs associated with data connections.

How do I access Mobile Banking?

Visit www.capricornian.com.au on your smartphone or tablet device and select ‘Mobile Banking‘.

Which devices are compatible?

Mobile Banking is designed to operate on most mobile phones. The Mobile Banking user experience will depend on the capabilities of the user device. A number of factors contribute to these capabilities including support of HTML 4.01, the size of the screen and the capabilities of the browser on the device.

Can I still use Online Banking?

Yes! Mobile banking simply provides the convenience of being able to access your accounts, anywhere, anytime, at the tap of your finger, when you don’t have access to a computer.

What happens if I lock myself out of Online Banking; can I still access Mobile Banking?

Unfortunately if you’re locked out of online banking, you’re also locked out of mobile banking. Please phone our Capricornian Contact Centre team on 1300 314 900 or visit your nearest branch if you require assistance.

Who do I contact for technical assistance?

If your enquiry relates to your mobile device, please refer to your device’s user manual. If your enquiry relates to data connection issues, please contact your service provider.

Usage charges

The Capricornian does not charge a fee for mobile banking however your mobile provider may charge data usage charges. For further information regarding data access charges please contact your mobile phone service provider.
