Charity Golf Day A Hit For Give Me 5 For Kids

Sunday 25th November saw golfers and non-golfers alike take part in the annual Capricornian Charity Golf Day at North Rockhampton Golf Club.  The day was held to raise money for Give Me 5 For Kids, helping sick children and their families in Central Queensland.

Dallas Williams, Jacob Borich and Aaron Harmsworth

Sixty players competed in the three-ball ambrose in sweltering conditions, with the TRL Rockhampton team of Aaron Harmsworth, Dallas Williams and Jacob Borich winning the event.

There were some fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners and also in the monster raffle, as well as a hole-in-one shootout for the chance to take away $10,000 cash.  Unfortunately no one was able to land the ace, however Russell Taylor fell just 5m short of pocketing the kitty.

Even with the trying conditions the day proved a huge success with a total of $4,375 being raised for GM5FK. Special thanks must go to the businesses that made the day possible through sponsorship or prize donations:
