How do I register for online banking?

To register for online banking visit one of our branches or apply online.

What do I do if I forget my password or login?

To reset your login information please call our Capricornian Contact Centre team on 1300 314 900 during business hours or visit one of our branches.

You can also reset your password yourself via the Online Banking login screen. Click on Forgot your Password and follow the prompts.

If you’re registered for Online Banking and have The Capricornian’s Banking App, the cap app, you can use this service. 

Download the cap app for free, it’s easy:

  • Login to the cap app. Go to Cards accessible from the ☰ menu.
  • Find the card you wish to change the PIN for, select change PIN, enter “New PIN”, confirm “New PIN” (4 digits only), select update.  
  • You need to confirm an SMS One Time Password to complete PIN change.
  • Your PIN will be updated immediately. 

To register for eStatements you can login into your Online Banking portal. Alternatively you can contact our Customer Contact Centre on 1300 314 900 or visit one of our branches.

Instead of receiving a paper statement in your letterbox, you will receive an email advising that your statement is available to view online.

BPAY® is a national electronic bill payment service. If your bill displays the BPAY® logo, you can use BPAY®.

How long does it take for the money to reach the BPAY® Biller?

The BPAY® Biller will generally receive the funds within 24 to 48 business hours.

Can I schedule BPAY® payments to process at a future date or recur?

Yes. Payments can be scheduled to process at a future date. You can create a once off BPAY® payment or recurring BPAY® payments daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Transfers between your Capricornian accounts are instant.

Can I schedule transfers to process at a future date?
Yes. Payments can be scheduled to process at a future date. You can create a once off Future Payment or recurring Future Payments daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

How long does it take for money to reach another Capricornian Accounts?
Transfers to other Capricornian account holders are instant.

Can I schedule transfers to process at a future date?
Yes. Payments can be scheduled to process at a future date. You can create a once off Future Payment or recurring Future Payments daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

To external accounts (Accounts at other Financial Institutions):

You can transfer funds instantly with Osko by BPAY by selecting Osko under the Transfer Type section. This will mean the payment will occur in real-time, normally within seconds. Learn more about Osko and the New Payments Platform. (link off to NPP pages).

Standard transfer options are available too.

You will require the BSB Number, Account Number and Account Name. You may choose to save these account details for future use in your Online Banking ‘My Payees’ address book.

How long does it take for the money to reach the account?
Funds should be received within 24-48 hours. If the funds are not received in this time please visit a branch or call our Capricornian Contact Centre team on 1300 314 900.

Can I schedule transfers to process at a future date?
Yes. Payments can be scheduled to process at a future date. You can create a once off Future Payment or recurring Future Payments daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

External Transfers:

The external transfer limit is $3,000 per day per account. If you would like to alter your transfer limit temporarily for each of your ‘S type’ accounts, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

Internal transfers:

The internal transfer limit is $5,000 per day per account. If you would like to alter your transfer limit temporarily for each of your ‘S type’ accounts, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

BPAY® Transfers:

The standard BPAY® Transaction limit is $10,000 per day. If you would like to alter your transfer limit temporarily, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

International Transfers:

The international transfer limit is $3,000 per day per account. If you would like to alter your international transfer limit temporarily for each of your ‘S type’ accounts, please see our branch staff or contact us on 1300 314 900.

SMS One Time Password:

SMS One Time Passwords are single use security tokens sent to your mobile phone. SMS One Time Passwords are required when altering contact details and existing Payee or BPAY® details or loading a New Payee transaction or BPAY® transaction. SMS One Time Password is activated when you register for Online Banking.
